I wanted to write this blog after reading the news of Geetha Bai who is a national champion in Power lifting Some how I feel I am the main culprit because I mainly like cricket although I am not crazy about cricket but only cricket yields money in India.
Cricketers get so much money, Celebrities get so much money by crazy following and marketing. Could be they are excellent but there will be a limit for them also in terms of having money. However it is not their fault it is my fault that I am unable to elect a capable government which bring in proper policies.
I believe the best policy could be that Government decides some of the areas where minimum money has to be flown in. To those areas money of celebrities should be channelized.
There should be some cut off after which any person if only on his name and celebrity stature gains money that should be properly channelized. Money which is obtained through organization and salaries will not fall into this criteria.
Lets take Virat Kohli cricketer is who is earning around ₹ 38 Crores ($ 7.1 million). And lets say a cut off decided by government is ₹ 5 Crores then among 33 crores 75% must be invested by Virat kohli in one of the areas which are decided by the government and it will be on his name this investment which means if he makes proper thinking investment then he might also gain he will then earn back those gains. And this investment should happen in a span of time period specified by the government lets say 6 months.
If he fails to invest in 6 months then 75% of the ₹ 33 crores will be taken by government and it will invest in those specified areas as required.
How to decided those areas ?
These areas should be decided by political parities based on which they will get elected. These areas cannot be constant because if all the celebrities only invest in lacking area then others will not be concentrated and they will not be heard. So if the decision remains in the hands of people then through vote then which ever party catches peoples pulse will win the elections and those areas will get money.
To the argument of Virat Kohli, if he says that who will give money for his living after he retires from cricket, then he need to understand that he is getting so much of crazy money only if many people appreciate him. If wants to continue to have such a kind of appreciation then he need to see the smiles on each and every other sports person such as Geetha Bai. Other wise it is not the proper people smile.
