Death of fighting Girl - Can we make her brave ?

Today 29th Dec 2012 is the day when a fighting girl died.

We do not know weather she was brave or not because many of us do not know her personally. However doctors say that she is a brave girl, but she will be called brave only when every Indian(her Indian means just not men but also woman) treats girl properly with respect.

This happens only when we participate in one or in all the following:

  • When we rectify problem of Female Foeticide as we have seen in Satyamev Jayate
  • We can say her as brave only if we channelize our passionate outrage, rather not causing deaths to our own citizens such as Subhash Chand Tomar death. We are not fighting with outsiders we are fighting with insiders and so there is no need of violent protests. Protests should never harm any body. There is no point in just displaying protest against government for couple of days. To make her brave we have to consistently respect the woman. Yes demonstration is needed to show that there is a concern but protest is not needed. It is not that easy to control the outrage in ourselves after knowing about the incident but that is where our maturity has to be shown and make her brave.
  • The questions we have to pose to ourselves are:
    • Can we encourage woman equally given status movies ? Yes woman are beautiful gender but they are are also another human being.
    • Can we teach every young boy that there is a limit in flirting ?
    • Can we feel the moral education is as important as any other education ? This can be better done with movies teaching about it.
  • The most important aspect is can we start trusting our Police system ? I know there are many bad news going around in every channel and every newspaper but from where did these police human beings came in ? They came from our own society. Are we brave enough to send good persons into police ? And are we brave enough to trust them and take risk(the word risk is used as many of us are afraid of police station)
  • Are we brave and passionate enough to give the evidence to police when it is required ? While I write I myself in a second thought in providing an evidence to police. But the question is will I improve more from today ? And will my peers encourage me rather discouraging me while reporting to police and also stand by me when I report to police in times of trouble ? To make her brave we have to take all these challenges and basically they are not challenges these are minimum duties of every citizen. The day we and our movies feel these are basic duties we can tell that she is a brave girl.
If we can pose all the above questions to ourselves in our daily life consistently for at least 5 years and make consistent change in our attitude and daily life surely we can prove her as a brave girl.

I have zeal to prove her a brave, hoping that my peers will have the same opinion and join me in making her brave.
