In the season of General Elections 2009 in India. I am following lot of news in lot of channels and news papers. But it is always difficult to decide who to be trusted ? How can you decide that they are not biased to any party who are giving money to them. Or may be the parites may try to fear them with their power or money.
I will try to discuss few instances from these media.
For the purpose of General elections IBNlive has launched their new website IBNPolitics.com for me it is just they are trying to earn the money that we people give them by making more hits to this website. I do agree discussing them here I am indirectly giving them adverstisement but they have a better technology as they are partnered with CNN.com which is very popular channel in US who had humungous profits with last years US elections. Now that IBNlive is a partner of CNN they already have ready made plans how to gain from elections.
I am sure IBNPolitics will be coming up with very attractive plans something CNN has already came up with CNNPolitcs.com. But when you compare websites of aajtak, NDTV they are not much technically equipped.
In reality Technology is no way related to the News they cover. It means if IBNlive has better technology does not mean that they cover better things. But yes they are equipped with better things where they can cover very good news. It is something like nuclear weapon is with both India and pakistan but we know who will use this for good purpose.
I see the idea of IBNPolitcs as very inferior quality idea for india. As IBNLive should have already come up with IBNReal Heros website which they have never did and they now came up with IBNPolitics. India is not so developed infrastructurly as compared to USA. So first their focus should have been in developing in India. So with this idea it really makes sense that it should have concentrated on Real Heros rather than IBNPolitcs. And the episodes in Real Heros comes something like 10 or 11 yearly. But this is completely wrong according to me. Because india has lot of Real Heros than our number of MP's but they still look for the people who does not work much. If they have worked properly about the MP's they already should had all the informaiton of MP's in the website. But the information is most of the time is about 20 to 25 MP's and followed by, cricket heros, Fashion pictures, Masand's analysis and as much possible so much controversies of bollywood.
Well I am not against of IBNlive earning money. But it should be in proper proportion i.e atleast 50% news should be about RealHeros and rest what they have right now. For this they don't have be fear of MP's and this will indirectly push MP's to work more better way.
As I see that this is not the case with IBNlive, for me their general election analysis is complete false. Who ever(any party) might have been given the advantage. Padmasri Rajdeep Sardesai comes by himself about these pre poll analysis. Which is understandably good anyalysis in terms of statistics and mathematics but it is completely unwanted work in terms of india development. They don't have any shows for the purpose of India developement exclusively. Which means that IBNlive should not be trusted to that extent as they do not concentrate on Indian developement rather they concentrate on IBN profits.
I am trying to focus more on IBNlive because they are equipped with more things than any other channel. But it does not mean that they are good. According to me other media are more trustable than IBNLive as they are doing more than IBNLive in their available infrastructure.
So now comes which media to be trusted in these circumstances ?
For me it is like this any media if statistically and principally are able to connect the elections with indian Development are more trustable. Such as first make ideal constituency it standards according to indian standards and then take a constituency and come up with all the statistics of basic infrastructure of that constituency with initially kept standards. And then say what are the things required for that constituency and then which candidate is willing to do that and in reality how far his/her party will allow this for him/her. It means how far their party agenda is able to match these constraints. And try to compare the influence of Real Heros in every constituency.
I would be happy if all the media make a group and share the money for this statistics. And show their efficiency in their statistics.
This is real sportive competion and it is really money yielding program. According to me this idea is much better than IBNPolitics.com even in terms of earning money.
